Low back pain
Most backs aren’t damaged — they’re defensive. We find out why yours is guarding, then train it to stop.
One-on-one physiotherapy · Kensington, Calgary
Forty-five minutes, one physiotherapist, one patient — never two tables at once. Direct billing, no referral needed, two blocks off Kensington Road.
We measure before we prescribe — force, range, and control, tracked from your first visit to your final test.
01 What we treat
If yours isn’t on the list, call anyway — the assessment is the same rigorous 45 minutes either way.
Most backs aren’t damaged — they’re defensive. We find out why yours is guarding, then train it to stop.
Tendons, knees, ITB, shin pain. Training-load problems get training-load answers — not six weeks of rest and hope.
Cuff, capsule, instability. Shoulders punish guesswork, so we diagnose before we treat — every single time.
ACL, rotator cuff, joint replacement. We work from your surgeon’s protocol and move exactly as fast as it allows.
We handle the reporting and the paperwork so your file never stalls your recovery. Billed directly to WCB Alberta.
Pain that has outstayed its injury needs a different playbook — graded, measured, and honest about timelines.
02 The method
Every plan we write moves through the same five stages. You’ll always know which one you’re in, what it takes to leave it, and what’s waiting on the other side.
A full 45 minutes to find the actual driver of your pain — movement, strength, history, training load — not just the spot that hurts.
One visit. You leave with a working diagnosis, a written plan, and two things to do tonight.
03 Your first visit
No gowns, no forms for the sake of forms, no ten-minute hand-off to a machine in the corner. This is the actual shape of visit one.
Full history — the injury, the sport, the sleep, what you’ve already tried and what it actually did.
Strength, range, and control — how you move under load, not just how you look on the table.
Hands-on work starts day one, paired with the first exercises of your program. No “come back next week to begin.”
A working diagnosis in plain language, a realistic timeline, and your place on the Pathway — on paper, in your hand.
Not a photocopied sheet — two specific exercises, dosed for you, before your second visit is even booked.
04 The team
The person who assesses you is the person who treats you — every visit, start to finish.

If your plan covers physiotherapy, you pay only the difference — for most extended-health plans, that’s nothing at all.
06 What clients say
Three clinics in two years told me to rest. Reforge told me what was wrong, wrote it down, and gave the plan an end date. That was the difference.
Forty-five minutes is not a gimmick. Nobody left the room, nobody parked me on a machine with a timer. We worked the whole time.
After my ACL I flinched at stairs. They wouldn’t sign off until I’d passed hop tests on that knee. That’s exactly why I trust it now.
Call or email and a physiotherapist answers — not a call centre. If we’re not the right fit for what’s going on, we’ll say so and point you somewhere better.
